The doctors and staff at Florence House Medical Practice in Manchester are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Improving access to general practice: evening and weekend appointments now available
Patients who are registered at this practice can now book an appointment to see a GP or nurse on weekday evenings (after 6.30pm) or at the weekends (on Saturday and Sunday). Appointments will either take place at this practice or at Five Oaks Family Practice. Talk to the practice receptionist to find out more or book an appointment.
By March 2019 everyone in England will benefit from access to general practice appointments in the evenings and weekends at a time that is most convenient to them. This is part of a national drive to help improve access to general practice and get the best possible outcomes for patients. Further information is available at www.england.nhs.uk/gpaccess
Patient Online Access
Patient Access lets you use the online services of Florence House Medical Practice. These may include arranging or cancelling appointments, ordering repeat medication and access to your medical records.
If this is something that you are interested in, please speak to one of our team to find out more.
We are a training, research and academic practice and provide placements for GP registrars, medical students and student nurses. You may be offered an appointment with one of our registrars or students.
Students may be present during an appointment you have with your GP or Nurse. If you have any objection to any of the above please let the reception staff, doctor or nurse know.
Access For The Disabled
As a purpose-built health centre we are fully equipped with facilities for the disabled.
In line with our contractual requirements all patients have an allocated and accountable GP.
Dr Ahmed is the named GP for all male patients and Dr Khan is the named GP for all female patients.

What happens when your are referred by your GP to see a specialist
This leaflet describes what you can expect to happen when your GP refers you to see a specialist or consultant, at a hospital or a community health centre.
Plan to meet GMC Contractual requirement for Patient On-line
This practice plans to offer the facility for patients to view online, export or print detailed coded information held in their own records from March 2016.
These dates are subject to the necessary NHS GP systems and software being available to the practice.
